The Science Interactive Revision Centre for Chemistry has been developed to help students in the 14-16 age group to successfully revise for their terminal examinations. The material covers key areas of the subject such as chemical reactions, metals, earth science and the Periodic Table. Animations, video clips and graphics bring topics to life by showing a concept as well as explaining it. Information and interactive activities reinforce learning and help students to understand ideas and concepts in chemistry. Mock examination questions at the end of each concept will give students an idea of what to expect in their examination. The questions will also identify any weak areas and give students the necessary practice to overcome these.

The program can be used for individual study and the student can explore elements of chemistry or focus on a particular area of interest or weakness. Questions are scored and, at the end of each mock examination, predicted grades are given.

The program is also ideal for whole class teaching when used with the Interactive white board. The Science Interactive Revision Centre will make revising and learning chemistry enjoyable for students and will supplement teaching by showing chemistry as part of the learning process.

Once purchased, the CD can be freely copied and networked throughout the school.
