The Quotation Game CD-ROM

KS3-4, 11-16, GCSE, AS Level, Standard Grade, Intermediate 2, Higher examinations. The game will enable teachers to facilitate their students learning and development through playing which can be used to aid in the learning and remembering of quotations. The basics are given for the game but sections have been provided so that teachers may use alternative text/quotations within the format. They can work individually or in groups depending upon class sizes etc. Aids accuracy, agility and adds a dimension of fun to learning.

Since my pupils began using this resource in class to aid with quotation learning I have witnessed a vast improvement in the accuracy, agility and willingness to use quotation and the recall of the pupils. The game is easily accessible for all levels of pupils and will aid in students literacy levels as they will have to read, discuss and form their own opinions. Their oral levels will increase as they will have to discuss more detailed analysis of the text looking at themes/issues to enable them to develop their written answers. They can work individually or in groups depending upon class sizes etc.

You can even add your own quotations, if the text being studied is not listed. (Quotations included from Antigone, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, The Crucible, Men Should Weep, Passing Places and The Stearnie.) All examination boards AQA, Edexcel, SQA. English and Drama.

Once purchased, the CD can be freely copied and networked throughout the school
