START IT is an Entry Level 3 qualification and the award is aimed at beginners to computing. The Introduction to Computers is the Core Unit, with four additional optional Units available. To achieve the qualification the candidate must achieve the Core Unit and one other Unit from the options available.

City & Guilds provide full documentation for the delivery of the program, and each candidate will be issued with a Candidate Assessment Record; the students are expected to visit each area of learning at least twice, and the dates are recorded in the CAR. The final practical assessments are provided, with easy to follow marking criteria. This training pack offers the full package for Units 002 – 005; each Unit has an overall training workbook, additional practice papers with tutor marked copies for each paper, together with additional training aids such as Quizzes, Crosswords and handouts.
