This resource is a ready to use collection of activities for the Psychology classroom, covering the topic of social influence. It is relevant for both GCSE and AS Level (any specification) and can be used with a mixed ability class. The resource covers the key themes of social influence, including theories, key terminology and the major studies that students are required to learn for their examinations. Each of the activities allow for differentiation, and stretch and challenge. The resource contains a variety of different activities that will both motivate and engage learners, including games, debates, applications of psychology to the real world, active learning activities, class practicals, role plays, structured discussions and tests; all of which can be used to introduce or consolidate learning objectives. The benefits of using this resource are that they are ready to use straight away; the only preparation for the teacher will be printing off the materials and getting any relevant materials ready to support the activity. The majority of these activities are practical and active, which students enjoy and research suggests that kinaesthetic activities are useful as a memory aid. The activities allow students to use a learning style that isn’t often used in most classrooms, take control of their own learning, are creative, be imaginative. All of the resources have been tried and tested and have had successful results. The majority of them have been used for OFSTED lessons and observed lessons, all have received positive feedback.
