This pack contains adaptations of three of Shakespeare's most famous plays: Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and The Tempest, and have been written for performance in a workshop situation.

The language used is a mixture of Shakespeare's original alongside a more modern interpretation. This enables children and adults, specialists and non-specialists to both understand and enjoy the text. The plays last around forty minutes and are suitable for performing in a very small space. Very few resources are required: simple props and basic costume will suffice.

These adaptations can be used with small groups of students, including actors, singers, musicians and dancers and are suitable for students in years 7 to 11. They could also be used as an extra-curricular performance.
