Reflection’s is a comparatively simple topic in mathematics. It is so easy to master and should be fun to do (if you are a pupil). However, as a topic, reflections are quite often greeted with a yawn of boredom. This is because we have too often stuck to the national curriculum documents that only require pupils to reflect a rectangle or triangle in one or two lines of reflection. There is no challenge for the pupil in such an activity and subsequently there is no achievement.
