LINK is an ideal project based pack for Special Needs pupils. It outlines the key stages of development in the Design and Make process:

1. IDEAs (Investigating, Disassembling and Evaluating Activities)
2. Key Experiences (Targeting specific skills)
3. Focused Tasks
4. DMA (Design and Make Assignment

There are three main topics covered and each one includes comprehensive information including:

• Teacher notes for each stage in the learning process (including objectives, preliminary and main activities, plenary notes)
• Pupil activity sheets (pupil work and recording sheets)
• Pupil information sheets (outlining various ideas)
• Recording sheets

The units although very detailed provide opportunities for both pupil imagination and teacher input.

The LINK pack aims to:

• Provide children, especially SEN pupils, with a detailed learning programme thus enabling to develop the necessary skills to produce high quality work.
• Show pupils how to relate their everyday experiences to the Design and Make process.
• Provide teachers with a progressive way looking carefully at the way pupils progress through each stage of the process.
