Learning and Teaching Aids to meet the needs of the ICT National Curriculum

This resource comes in the form of two books (student and teacher) plus CD-ROM This resource aims to provide the materials to enhance the learning and teaching of the GCSE full or short courses. The main teaching resource is a PowerPoint presentation, which is linked to student and teacher worksheets that can be printed or shown in a lesson on the whiteboard. The teacher book contains a user guide with step-by-step instructions of how to use the presentation. Each slide in the presentation has detailed information with examples. All worksheets are filled with text, diagrams and pictures for the student to complete. Each worksheet can be completed individually, in pairs, or in groups. The teacher answer book will aid discussion, demonstation, and question and answer sessions. It covers most aspects of ICT theory. You can navigate through the presentation at your own pace and revisit specific areas. Students will need guidance to ensure their understanding of ICT theory. The student book should be used in conjunction with the teacher book. Students need relevant examples of the various theory topics, provided in the teacher book. A second presentation is linked to the main presentation. This provided more detail of spreadsheets and databases, and can be an aid when discussing project work for the coursework elements of this examination.
